Why Nephrotic Syndrome Is Refractory

Nephrotic Syndrome is a refractory disease in clinic. Usually, after a period of hormone treatment, most of the patients can have some relief in clinical symptoms. However, once they reduce the hormone dosages or encounter infections, the disease will reoccur at once. Why Nephrotic Syndrome is so refractory? Is there an effective treatment for the disease?

Immune dysfunction plays a major role in Nephrotic Syndrome. Our human body has a strong immune system including innate immune system and back-up system to keep us stay in a healthy and normal state.
