Sodium

Potassium

Protein

But when you have proteinuria or azotemia, protein intake should be restricted. In different stage of CKD, there are different protein requirements. When you choose protein, high quality protein is preferred, such as lean meat, fish and egg white.

Fresh fruits and vegetables

Fresh fruits and vegetables are usually loaded with vitamins and minerals, which can be beneficial for kidney cyst patients. However, if the lab test show high potassium level or high phosphorus level, it is necessary to talk with your doctor or dietitian, as some of the foods contain high content of potassium or phosphorus.
