Lupus Nephritis is the secondary kidney disorder of lupus. The World Health
Organization divides Lupus Nephritis into six classes. Mesangial Lupus Nephritis
belongs to the class Ⅱ. How is the prognosis of Mesangial Lupus Nephritis? Is it
possible to develop into Chronic Renal Failure?
Mesangial Lupus Nephritis is accompanied by normal diagnostic findings or
with a mild degree of proteinuria but typically absence of hypertension.
Generally speaking, the patients with Mesangial Lupus Nephritis do not present
many discomforts and the prognosis of the disease good. However, it does not
mean the patients should neglect its treatment. If not controlled in time, it is
very likely to develop into more serious kidney disease.
In Mesangial Lupus Nephritis, the light microscopy can show complexes deposit
in mesangial area plus mesangial proliferation. If the immune complexes can not
be cleared up completely, they will cause further inflammation in kidneys.
However, the conventional hormone can only suppress the inflammation, but can
not remove the immune complexes at all. Therefore, the disease is very likely to
relapse. Every relapse is a great trauma to the kidneys.
To treat Mesangial Lupus Nephritis fundamentally and prevent it from
developing into the next class, just relying on hormone can not receive the
therapeutic goal at all. Facing the ineffectiveness of hormone, our hospital
introduces the latest treatment of kidney disease---immunotherapy into the
treatment of Mesangial Lupus Nephritis. It is a complete therapeutic system
mainly including Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy, blood
purification etc.
Immunotherapy aims at relieving the symptoms of the disease by suppressing
the abnormal inflammation and correcting the abnormal immune system as well as
the impaired renal functional cells. It can repair the impaired kidneys and
recover the normal renal functions. Therefore, it can stop Mesangial Lupus
Nephritis from progressing into more severe kidney disease.
