Diabetes patients should pay more attention to the following aspects:
1. Eat more
Glycemic Index of roughage is very low. Such as eat more coarse rice is
better than polished rice, eat more Unripe banana is better than ripe
banana.
2. Supply enough protein
ADI (acceptable daily intake) of protein should be the same as the normal
people or higher than the normal people. If patients are suffering form
complications of Diabetes, they should follow the doctor’s guidance of protein
intake.
3. Reduce the cook food intake.
Try your best to reduce the cook food intake, eat more raw food is better
than cook food, and reduce the cook time. Such as Glycemic Index of porridge
which need long-time cook is higher than rice.
4. Eat more high-fiber food
Dietary fiber can make the absorption of glucose become more and more slowly,
reduce the fasting blood-glucose and Postprandial Blood Glucose, reduce the
concentration of blood fat, prevent the complications of cardiovascular disease,
chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis etc. The nature food is the best source of

5. Limit the carbohydrate intake properly
The carbohydrate intake should base on the illness condition of Diabetes, but
patients can’t have the excessive low carbohydrate intake. Human body utilize
fat metabolism to supply thermal energy because of lack of sugar, which is
easier to cause acidosis.
6. Reduce the fat intake
The fat intake should according to the illness condition of patients.
High-fat diet will obstruct the utilization of sugar, and the metabolism of
which will give rise to ketone body, is easy to cause and aggravate the
acidosis. Obese patients should limit the fat intake strictly, no more than 40g
is proper. Thin patients should enhance the fat intake because of insufficient
thermal energy.
