How about the prognosis of Purpura Nephropathy? Many patients are very
concerned about it. What factors can affect the prognosis of Purpura
Nephropathy?
The factors affecting the prognosis of Purpura Nephropathy are as
follows:
One,age: for the children patients with Purpura Nephropathy, the prognosis is
comparatively good. However, for the adult patients, the prognosis is
comparatively bad.
Two, clinical symptoms: for patients with masses of protein in urine and
Hypertension, the prognosis is bad.
Three, renal pathological changes: it is found out by statistics that if
patients with type Ⅳ Purpura Nephropathy or later stage of the disease, 40
percent of them can develop into Chronic Renal Insufficiency. However, for
patients with type Ⅲ Purpura Nephropathy or earlier than this stage of the
disease, only 3 percent of them can develop into Chronic Renal Insufficiency.
Besides, patients with immune complex's depositing on the epithelial cells and
endothelial cell of the glomerulus have a worse prognosis than those who are
with immune complex' depositing on mesangial area.
Moreover, the prognosis is closely related with renal pathological changes.
According to incomplete statistic, 52 percent of patients can completely relieve
in one year, 15 percent of patients may persist gross hematuria or proteinuria
(one to three grams each day) and 18 percent may persist microscopic hematuria
and micro albuminuria. Besides, for patients who has no decline of glomerular
filtration rate (GFR), only 5 percent of them may develop into Chronic Renal
Insufficiency within several years. Some children patients were follow-up
visited for 10 years and it is found that 70 to 80 percent of them could
completely relieve, 15 percent of them still persisted renal pathological
changes, 8 percent of them developed into Renal Insufficiency and only one
percent died.
