Many patients with Diabetic Nephropathy may suffer from puffy legs. They may
need a rest after they walk for a very short time. If controlled, the puffiness
will spread to other body parts. So, why patients with Diabetic Nephropathy have
legs?
In normal condition, the kidneys can discharge the metabolic wastes out of
body, but keep the nutrients in blood by filtering blood. However, as the
glomeruli in kidneys that filter blood are damaged, they will not be able to
function normally as before. As a result, the proteins will leak into urine.
The protein concentration declines, but the concentration in tissues still
keeps high. As a result, the fluid in blood will filter into tissues. As the
tissues in legs are soft, the patients will suffer from puffy legs firstly.
Besides the protein leakages, fluid retention in body is also a cause in
causing puffy legs in Diabetic Nephropathy.
Although the glomeruli are damaged, the tubular function still keeps normal.
The tubule will reabsorb the sodium and the fluid thus causing retention of
sodium and fluid. The fluid will infiltrate into tissues, resulting in
swelling.
In a word, decreased blood protein level and retention of fluid and sodium
are the causes of puffy legs in Diabetic Nephropathy. These two disorders are
mainly attributable to the injury of glomeruli.
Therefore, to prevent puffy legs, it is the key to restore the glomeruli. In
China, Immunotherapy is applied to restore impaired kidneys.
When Immunotherapy are injected intravenously, they will travel to kidney
lesions. At the kidney lesions, the blood vessels have been damaged, narrowed
and constricted. These constrictions prevent the oxygen carrying red blood cells
from passing through to kidney tissues thus causing kidney damage.
The Immunotherapy will gradually become stimulated by their surrounding cells
and environment. As they grow and become specialized, they are able to transform
into new blood vessels and renal functional cells to form new kidney
tissues.
Once the kidneys are restored very well, they will be able to keep the
proteins in blood. Afterwards, the puffy legs in Diabetic Nephropathy will
disappear.
