Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis is a kind of glomerular disease
charactered with diffuse mesangial cell's proliferation and different severity
of mesangial matrix's hyperplasia. It is a rare primary glomerulonephritis,
which can not be easily observed in its early stage. It is every important to
know the symptoms of Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis and take
treatment timely.
Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis can be found in any ages with an
higher incidence among children and young people of 16 to 30 years old. In
addition, male risks a higher incidence than female. Symptoms at early stage are
often not so obvious. In addition, Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis
often attacks after infection of the upper respiratory tract, the incidence of
which is among 30.8%~40.3%.
Clinical manifestations of Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis are
various, which includes manifestations of various primary glomerulonephritis.
Slight symptoms display hematuria, proteinuria or chronic glomerulonephritis,
but the severe symptom of it is Nephrotic Syndrome.
Among patients, more than 30 percent of them represents microscopic
hematuria, about 20 to 30 percent of patients have symptom of gross hematuria.
Besides, proteinuria can be found with different severity from slight
proteinuria to serious proteinuria. Besides, about 30 percent patients have
symptom of slight hypertension. At the primary stage, patients usually have
normal renal function and 10 to 25 percent patients can suffer declined renal
function at late stage.
Further more, the symptoms are related with pathological
changes, for example obvious diffuse mesangial proliferation will tend to
persistent proteinuria or progressive Renal Insufficiency. Patients with
pathological changes of mesangial proliferation and focal segmental sclerosis
will easy develop into Renal Insufficiency. For those patients with
unconspicuous mesagial proliferation, they have a better prognosis.
Attention: as symptoms of Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis are not
obvious, people should take physical examination on regular intervals in order
to avoid delaying condition for treatment.
