Acute Glomerularnephritis is commonly occurs after respiratory tract
infection, skin infection and other infections. The symptoms of Acute
Glomerularnephritis vary from different patients enormously. Usually, the
patients have the following symptoms
1. Edema
Edema is an early symptom of Acute Glomerularnephritis with about 70%~90% of
incidence. Most patients have eyelid edema in the morning. What’s worse, some
patients even have ascetic fluid.
2. Oliguria
In most cases, their urine output volume is less than 500 ml per day, which
can cause azotemia. Usually, their urine output increases gradually and their
renal function may recover. However, a minority of patients (<5%) of patients
can develop oliguria into anuria, which prove that they have renal parenchyma
lesions.
3. Hypertension
About 39%~80% of patients with Acute Glomerularnephritis have high blood
pressure. Usually, their blood pressure can recover normal in1~2 weeks with the
increasing of urine output volume. If their blood pressure is too high or
increases at a fast speed, they should watch out for cerebropathy. The higher
the blood pressure is, the more serious the renal parenchymal damage is.
4. Hematuria
Onset of Acute Glomerularnephritis, nearly all patients have hematuria, among
which, 50%~70% of patients have gross hematuria. Usually, gross hematuria
changes into microscopic hematuria one or two weeks later. Generally speaking,
the microscopic hematuria can last for one to three months.
5. Proteinuria
For nearly all patients with Acute Glomerularnephritis, their proteinuria
results show positive. Usually, their proteinuria are not serious and the urine
protein quantity is within in 0.5~3.5 per day. However, less than 20% of
patients may develop Nephritic Syndrome with more than 3.5 grams of protein loss
in urine.
Besides the above symptoms, some patients may have Acute Renal Failure and
some even have serious poor appetite, vomit, headache and dull pain in back and
so on.
If people have the above symptoms after infections, they had better go to see
a nephrologist at once so as to receive early inspection and early treatment. If
you have the above symptoms, but do not know the casus, you can consult us on
line or email to kidney-treatment@hotmail.com. Hope our endeavor can give your disease
an improvement.
