Acute glomerulonephritis prevention has a great significance. People would
have severe pulmonary edema, hypertensive encephalopathy and acute renal failure
etc due to acute glomerulonephritis. It would affect people at any age and
especially 3-8 year-old children. No matter you are adults or the parents of
children, you had better know some knowledge about acute glomerulonephritis.
Why do people have acute glomerulonephritis?
It is always caused by infections including the respiratory tract infection,
urinary tract infection and other infections. Many people have found protein in
urine after a cold or flu. For it develops very quickly and damage tiny blood
vessels in kidney, people may suffer from acute renal failure in a short time.
So for some people with low immunity, they should try their best to prevent
acute glomerulonephritis.
There are some good methods including:
1. Keep warm in winter. In a survey, it says that more people have kidney
disease in winter than any other season. The low temperature leads to
vasoconstriction, high blood pressure, less urine, easy coagulation, which all
can cause kidney disease.
2. Take medicine following the doctors. Many people get some drugs from
drugstore for their cold or infection. Experts alert that some pain killers,
cold medicines etc are harmful for their kidneys. Without doctor’s direction,
you may be easily to get an unsuitable drug.
3. Avoid too much protein and salt which can increase the burden of kidneys.
It is known that some drinks or deli are rich of these components. If your
physical condition is not good, you are suggested to keep away from these foods
and drink. You had better have more vegetables and fruits.
4. Have a comprehensive test if your cold or flu reoccurs in not long time.
Or if you find bubbles in urine, high blood pressure, swelling in eyelids, you
are recommended to go to see a doctor.
5. Have a proper volume of water and never keep full bladder. If the urine
stay in bladder for a long time, it is easy to have infection in bladder and
then the kidney.
