FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis) is kind of serious pathological
type in Nephrotic Syndrome. If treated ineffectively, it will progress into
Renal Failure in several years after its diagnosis.
FSGS is an autoimmune disease, in which the immune system can not tell the
differences between outside harmful stuffs and healthy kidney tissues and cells.
As a result, the immune system attacks healthy kidney tissues and cells
mistakenly thus resulting in inflammation in kidneys.
Kidney Transplant is still mainly adopted to treat FSGS when the kidneys
fail. However, if the patients’ immune system is not regulated, it will attack
the transplanted kidney again thus resulting in kidney damage. FSGS returns in
more than 50% of patients who received kidney transplant.
With the development of regenerative medicine, Immunotherapy is applied to
regenerate impaired tissues and organs. The successful application of
Immunotherapy technology in treating kidney diseases brings infinite promise to
patients with FSGS worldwide.
Immunotherapys are a group of undifferentiated cells with self-regeneration,
immune-regulation, hematopoietic support differentiation features. They can
differentiate into types of new cells with specialized function so they are
called omnipotent cells.
Immunotherapys can differentiate into renal functional cells to form new
kidney tissues. Meanwhile, Immunotherapy can stimulate the body to produce
normal immune cells and suppress the abnormal proliferation of T cells thus
rebuilding the immune system. Therefore, it can prevent the mistaken attack to
kidneys.
The advantages of Immunotherapy in treating FSGS:
1. There are extensive sources of Immunotherapy and it is easy to be
isolated, cultured and purified. After several times of proliferation, they
still can remain the primary features of Immunotherapy.
2. The Immunotherapy have homing-ability. The injured organs, tissues etc
release signals which can stimulate the Immunotherapy to travel injured sites
automatically.
3. They are featured with immunological immaturity so they are not easy to be
recognized by the receptors. Therefore, Immunotherapy does not need blood
matching or cause rejection reaction at all.
4. The success rate of Immunotherapy can reach up to 85%.
However, Immunotherapy also has contraindications and some factors may affect
its therapeutic result. If you are wondering to receive the therapy and want to
know more information about it, it is free for you to consult us on line.
