Proteinuria is a main clinical manifestation of Nephrotic Syndrome. In one
day, the patients can loss 3.5 proteins in urine and even more, which is the
primary cause of other symptoms and renal damage. Therefore, it is very
important for the patients with Nephrotic Syndrome why they have protein in
urine and then receive relative treatments in time.
For the patients with Nephrotic Syndrome, various pathological changes damage
the glomerular filtration barrier so its permeability to protein increases. As a
result, the protein will leak into urine through glomerular filtration
membrane.
The glomerular filtration barrier includes two types: 1. Mechanical barrier:
In normal condition, the hole of filtration membrane can limit 18~42 nm
molecules to pass and totally prevent the protein molecules that larger than 42
nm from passing. 2. Electronic barrier: Under normal condition, the filtration
barrier carries negative charge. These negative charges can prevent the protein
with negative charge from passing through filtration membrane. For the patients
with Nephrotic Syndrome, the pathological changes can damage the above two
barriers and make enlarge the filtration hole or make the negative charge
disappear. If the filtered protein exceeds the reabsorption ability, the protein
will be excreted into urine.
From the cause of protein in the patients with Nephrotic Syndrome, the
patients should repair the damaged filtration if they want to treat proteinuria.
As the glomerular filtration membrane is composed of renal intrinsic cells, it
is the first step to repair the injured renal intrinsic cells. On this point,
Immunotherapy has showed its tremendous effect.
Under right condition, Immunotherapy can differentiate into new cells with
specific functions to replace the dead cells. In repairing glomerular filtration
membrane, the Immunotherapy can different into new cells to replace the necrotic
intrinsic cells to play their roles. Moreover, Immunotherapy can secrete some
nutrients that can promote the repairing of the damaged renal intrinsic cells.
As a result, the glomerular filtration function can improve greatly. Once the
glomerular filtration membrane is repaired, the protein in urine will disappear.
