Dialysis is the common method used for kidney failure patients. Dialysis can
help the patients live a longer, and enjoy a higher quality life. For in kidney
failure stage, the toxins will build up in their body, and if dialysis can't be
adopted in time, it will cause many more complications.
Then once the patients start dialysis, can they stop it or get rid of it?
This depends on the individual conditions, and generally there are two
situations for this:
For the patients who have started dialysis not long, and urine output is
quite normal, if they can take some treatment to repair the damaged kidney cells
at early stage, the left kidney function can be reserved, and prevented from
further deteriorating. This is the first step, to protect the remaining kidney
functions from damaging. The second step is to input new lives. The metabolism
of life is the continuous supplement of the new cells with the death of the old
cells. So if there are more cells can be transfused into the body, there will be
more cells that can function replacing the dead ones.
However, for some patients who have had dialysis for several years, and have
hardly no urine output, it will be very hard for them to get rid or stop
dialysis. In this stage, their kidneys have been deserted for too long, and have
already lost the working ability. No or not enough cells can maintain the
condition, even transfusing some new lives into the body.
In treating kidney diseases, the patients should grasp the right time for
treatment. Kidney disease is a kind of chronic disease, and if it can be treated
in the early stage, and prevented from developing into late stages, the patients
may avoid the later dialysis, or kidney transplant.
