Early Symptoms of Renal Failure Caused by PKD

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a kind of chronic genetic Kidney Disease. Cysts of PKD patients grow with age. When cysts grow into some certain degree, they will compress neighboring kidney tissue, causing renal ischemia and anoxia, which can start the process of Renal Fibrosis and lead to Renal Failure.

Due to strong compensatory ability of kidney, there are few obvious symptoms in the early stage of this disease, and related symptoms will not occur until more than 90% to 95% kidney function is lost. However, at this moment, the illness condition of PKD patients has already developed into end stage. In this stage, patients may have symptoms of oliguria, anuria, nausea and vomiting as well as urea smell in mouth, etc. Sometimes, patients with more serious condition may even have symptoms of coma, hyperspasmia and so on. Here are some common symptoms appeared in early stage of Renal Failure caused by PKD.

Thirdly, patients do not sweat for long term and they usually scare of cold. Besides, increasing night urine or frequent urination, oliguria and urine difficulty are all early symptoms of kidney function injury.

Fourthly, some other symptoms like low appetite, asitia, nausea, vomiting as well as gastrectasia also appear in early stage of Renal Failure and Uremia. Many patients have lost the best treatment timing because they always mistake their disease as stomach illness.
