For some people they often suspect that one time of occasional abnormality of
protein in urine test is a sign of Nephrotic Syndrome. Actually, kidney disease
is quite complicated and the complex symptoms of Nephrotic Syndrome can be
unpredictable, the urine test of which is only a transitory symptoms of
patients. As a result, Nephrotic Syndrome can not be diagnosed just by the
result of urine test. It is necessary to diagnose Nephrotic Syndrome through the
four following measures:
One, urine protein quantitation for 24 hours: when urine protein quantitation
for 24 hours is more than 3.5g, it is the essential condition for diagnosing
Nephrotic Syndrome.
Second, plasma protein test: when plasma protein is less than 30g, it is an
essential condition for diagnosing Nephrotic Syndrome.
Three, urine test: it can be preliminarily diagnosed whether there is
pathological changes of glomerulus or not by NDBDX and Microscopic examination
of urinary sediment.
Four, blood lipid test: patients with Nephrotic Syndrome can accompanied with
lipids metabolism disorders and blood lipids increase.
Even though patients have been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, they should
take some following further tests according to their specific condition when
making a treatment plan, knowing about the damaged condition of renal function
and estimating its prognosis.
One, renal function test: its common indexes are BUN and Serum Creatinine.
Urine test is a common test, which is used to know the damaged condition of
renal function.
Two, the test of electrolyte boning with carbon dioxide: it is used to make
clear whether there is electrolyte's disorders and unbalance of acid-base or
not, which once found out will be corrected.
Three, hemarheology test: it is used to know whether the blood of patients is
in a state of high condensation and high viscosity or not.
Four, other tests such as complement in blood serum, Serum immunoglobulin,
selective proteinuria index, protein urine polypropylene amine gel
electrophoresis, urine C3, FDP, urine enzyme, Serum resistance to renal antibody
and renal biopsy, etc.
