Many people with Kidney Disease seem to feel that they never have energy and
feel tired all the time. Much research finds that anemia is the main cause of
fatigue in Kidney Disease.
In healthy case, the kidneys can secrete a kind of hormone hemopoietin that
can promote the red blood cells production. However, once the kidneys are
impaired, less hemopoietin is produced by kidneys, which leads to anemia. As red
blood cells contain a protein called haemoglobin, which transports oxgen around
the body. With the decline in red blood cells, they body tissues and cells can
not get sufficient oxgen supply thus leading to fatigue.
The patients with Kidney Disease can flow the following advices to relieve
their fatigue.
They can change their dietary supplements like increasing the iron and green
leafy vegetables to provide more raw materials of red blood cells. Moreover, the
body requires a balance of nutrients, vitamins and minerals to provide enough
energy for daily activities. The patients with Kidney Disease should fill their
diet with fruits and vegetables. Meanwhile, they should limit the intake of the
vegetables and fruits with high potassium, phosphorus and other harmful
minerals. Moreover, the grains, seeds and nuts can fill energy as well as
providing fibre which promotes effective elimination of wastes products in the
blood.
A lack of hydration is also a common cause of fatigue in Kidney Disease. If
the patients do not have decline in renal function, they should keep enough
fluid intakes per day, which can keep hydrated throughout the day. Water can
help kidneys filter and separate out the nutrients the body needs while
eliminating toxins and wastes from the blood. The patients with Kidney Disease
should not that they can not drink coffee to boost energy as the caffeine is
harmful to kidneys.
For the patients with Kidney Disease, if they can take effective measures and
receive relative treatments, they will be able to relive fatigue.
