Polycystic Kidney Disease: Causes and Formation

As a hereditary disease, the main cause of Polycystic Kidney Disease is the abnormality of the 16th chromosome. This faulty condition exists from the fetal stage and it will last for the rest of their lives. Most patients begin to present symptoms when they are about 40 years old.

The cysts originate from the tubules which include the distal tubules and proximal tubules. The properties of the cyst fluid can be different if they originate from different positions. The cyst fluid may include Na+, K+, CI-, H+, serum creatinine, urea, etc, which is similar to serum plasma if the cysts originate from proximal tubules. While, the Na+、K+ concentration is low and the CI-, H+, serum creatinine, urea concentration is high if the cysts are on the proximal tubules.

What is more, a lot of external factors can also trigger the occurrence of Polycystic Kidney Disease such as infection, taking drugs of renal toxicity, overtired, emotional recurrence and unreasonable diet etc. When the following condition occurs, a series of changes will happen in the kidneys.

1. The metabolism of tubules epithelial cells will be changed and growth factors will be produced, leading to the proliferation of cells.

2. The obstruction of renal tubules, retention of fluids and swelling can work together to form cysts.

3. More and more fluids will accumulate in the tubules.

4. The fluids are easy to go in but difficult to go out.

The inner environment will not change without the external factors’ trigger. That is why many people do not present cysts until they are 30 or more years old.

If Polycystic Kidney Disease is not controlled well, a lot of complications can be induced. To prolong the life expectancy, patients should receive treatment as early as possible. The earlier, the better. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy can treat Polycystic Kidney Disease and shrink cysts to a large extent. Compared with western methods, these therapies do not cause any side effects. You can directly send email to kidney-treatment@hotmail.com if you have other questions.
