Polycystic Kidney Disease is a kind of genetic kidney disease, and if it
can’t be treated timely and the progression of the renal fibrosis can’t be
blocked, this disease may cause Renal Failure or even uremia. Why?
As a genetic kidney disease, the main manifestation of this disease is that
there are numerous big or small cysts in the kidneys. The small ones can’t even
be seen by the naked eyes, while the large ones may be above 10cm. these big or
small cysts occupy the kidney and they will compress and damage the normal renal
tissues. And they may lead to the enlargement of the kidneys, sometimes the
enlarged kidneys even can be touched at the abdomen.
And most symptoms and impair of Polycystic Kidney Disease are caused by the
enlargement of the cysts, including abdominal pain, backache, proteinuria,
hematuria, hypertension, etc. What’s more, this disease is always accompanied by
many kinds of complications, such as infections, renal stones, polycystic liver
disease, pancreas cysts, intracranial aneurysm and so on. Is these symptoms and
complications can’t be treated timely, they will aggravate the illness condition
and further damage the renal cells and renal function. So the progression of the
renal fibrosis will develop continuously. So patients had better adopt treatment
as early as possible so as to block the progression of the renal fibrosis and
prevent Renal Failure. As we all know, the kidney is a complex and fragile
organ, once it is damaged, it is very hard to repair it to the original state.
So the more serious it is damaged, the harder to recover it. Therefore, try your
best to prevent Renal Failure.
