FSGS is short for focal segmental glomerulosclerosis which is a type of
kidney disease that affect people’ lives. It strikes patients and destroys about
50% of nephrons that is mainly used to filter blood and produce urine. In fact,
kidneys have a strong compensatory, so even the left 50% of nephrons also can
support body to keep a wonderful internal environment. However, FSGS does not
stay in this stage forever. Once more nephrons are damaged, their health is
threatened. Thereby this stage is key point to reverse kidney disease and leave
far away from worse illness condition.
Side effect of hormone therapy for FSGS
Apart from that above, hormone therapy also have more other side effects.
Hormone would bring about a very good appetite that leads to a great weight
gain. Some people even gain 30 pounds in about one month, which is amazing and
also harm for their healthy. Besides, patients’ appearance gets bad. They would
get a moon face or many acnes in their face. Furthermore, many patients told me
that they have osteoporosis and one patient said that he sometimes could not
feel his leg when walking, resulting tumble several times.
Many patients get varied side effects from hormone therapy which is much more
than they get the benefit. So many people want to seek a better therapy for
FSGS. In fact, this disease is caused by a disordered immune system.
Immunotherapy can solve their problems from the root. So patients can try
immunotherapy which would bring about no side effects.
