Is Renal Failure Caused by Diabetes Treatable

One of the obvious feature of diabetes is high blood sugar. Most people cannot control it well even with the help of drugs or insulin. so the high blood sugar will hold the fluid in blood vessels and absorb the water from the surrounding tissues. Large amount of blood volume will increase the strain in kidneys. Due to over work, many tissues are damaged or dead. It is a slow process and usually it would take about 10 years to develop into kidney disease that is also called diabetic nephropathy.

However, it occurs unconsciously and many patients find it in the end stage. Renal failure arrives too quickly for patients with diabetic nephropathy. Thereby more complications would begin, such as vomit, sick, skin itching, renal osteopathia and so on. In this stage, usually patients only have dialysis or kidney transplant to sustain lives.
