What does type 1 diabetes cause? As we all know, type 1 diabetes has negative
effects on the body. The complications caused by type 1 diabetes are dangerous.
Diabetes renal failure is the main cause of death in type 1 diabetes, meaning
that diabetes renal failure threatens the life of diabetics.
Since there are no obvious symptoms in the early stage diabetic nephropathy,
type 1 diabetics do not notice the kidney problem until some symptoms occur such
as protein in the urine, swelling around the eye and eye disease. As along as
diabetes kidney disease happens to them, it will quickly worsen into chronic
renal failure. Subsequently, high blood pressure and general swelling will come
soon. Eventually, it can lead to end-stage renal failure.
In end-stage renal failure, renal replacement therapy is required to replace
the kidneys to work because malfunctioned kidneys are less able to filter the
wastes and excessive fluid out of the body. Dialysis can temporarily to remove
the wastes and fluid out of the blood to keep people alive. Patients need to do
dialysis 2-3 times one week. Kidney transplant is a better way to solve the
kidney problems. However, the insufficiency of kidney donor is the biggest
barrier in front of the patients with diabetes renal failure.
Diabetes kidney disease is more common in elderly people with diabetes as
long as 10 years. Thus, diabetes patients need to be wary of diabetes kidney
disease. People who have diabetes for 6-10 years and persistent proteinuria are
at high risk for diabetes kidney disease.
Kidney doctor advises that treat type 1 diabetes as soon as possible in case
of diabetes kidney disease onset. Type 1 diabetes is horrible largely due to the
type 1 diabetes renal failure.
