When patients are found to have Polycystic Kidney Disease, they begin to
worry about Renal Failure that is caused by Polycystic Kidney Disease in the
future life, because normally treatment is not offered until this disease
progresses into renal failure stage. And at this moment, the only treatment
option is Dialysis or Kidney Transplant. For this reason, most patients are
looking for a treatment that can delay or even stop the progress of this disease
before it develops into renal failure stage.
Through many years of research and practice, a combined treatment which can
delay or even stop the progress of this disease has got more and more attention
from Polycystic Kidney Disease patients. This treatment is combined by both
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is based on traditional Chinese medicine.
Acting on the acupuncture point and channels on our back, effective medicine can
reach kidney lesion under the help of effective penetrate and osmosis devices,
thus achieving the goal of shrinking cysts and controlling cysts enlargement.
Besides, some Chinese herbs especially have effect on protecting and repairing
kidney. On this basis, damaged kidney can be repaired and improved to a certain
extent. In addition, basic functions of Chinese medicine, such as activating
blood circulation and dredging channels as well as eliminating toxins and
removing blood stasis, can make body internal environment much better, providing
a favorable environment for Immunotherapy to grow and regenerate.
Since Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can protect and repair kidney, is
Immunotherapy necessary? Yes. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can not make
these totally damaged kidney cells survive again, though it is effective on
repairing kidney. This is the reason why Immunotherapy is necessary in the
process of treating Polycystic Kidney Disease and even renal failure caused by
this disease. Immunotherapy can regenerate and differentiate into new kidney
cells which can take place of these totally dead cells to play function, which
can make kidney function improved much more on the basis of Micro-Chinese
Medicine Osmotherapy.
After the combined application, the therapeutic effect of both these two
treatment has been greatly improved and thousands of patients have benefited
from this treatment. If you need more details about this treatment, you can

Psychology Change of a Patient in Our Hospital
During the communication meeting between doctors and patients, the most
question I asked is ‘Did you believe us as well as the therapeutic effect before
your coming?’ and the most common answer is ‘no’. They told me that before their
coming, they just want to have a try because they had been to so many famous
hospitals in China but no one can treat them and this hospital may be the last
hope to them. ‘So do you believe us now?’ The answer is ‘absolutely yes’.
Indeed, what makes such change?
One patient told me that at the beginning, she did not want to come to our hospital because she thought there may be no hope. What’s more, she also thought our hospital is unbelievable because both Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy are really strange to her. It was our doctor that made call to her for several times and explained clearly of our treatment. Finally, she decided to come for a try about our treatment. Even during the first 15 days, she still felt doubtful about our hospital, but moved by the hearted care of our doctors and nurses, she chose to stay for longer. And now, she told me that this may be the most correct choice she had made in her life. With treatment continuousness, her condition has been improved greatly, which is expressed by relieved symptoms, decreased creatinine, increased kidney function, etc. When she left our hospital, her body condition has already been much better than before. This time, she spent more than 12 hours on train in order to join the patient-doctor communication meeting. She said she wanted to show her gratitude to our doctors and nurses who treated her as a family member during her hospitalization. Even now, she always gets calls from her doctor and nurse. Another important thing she told me is that she has already introduced our hospital and our treatment to many patients around her. She just old them her own feeling and experience to them. She said, here, doctors and nurses gave her so much love and now she gains health again, so she should and must to pass the love to others. By this, more and more people can feel this love, and more important, more and more people can get an improved body health which is the most precious treasure in our life.
I can understand her feeling. Most patients have the same feeling when they first come to our hospital. But finally, they begin to believe our hospital and they take the hospital as their home. So many patients told me that when they come to our hospital for this meeting, they just feel that they are coming home at the moment of entering the door of our hospital. So welcome home.

Symptoms of the Disease of Polycystic Kidney Disease
As we all know, the disease of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a type of
genetic kidney disease. When the patients are in the childhood, the sizes and
shapes of kidneys are normal or a little enlarged. With the increase of the age,
the cysts in the kidneys will enlarge gradually and the number of the cysts will
increase. For most patients, the size of the kidneys will enlarge to certain
level and cause a series of symptoms until 30-50 years old. The main symptoms
include the two sides of kidneys swollen, pain of the kidney area, hematuria,
hypertension and so on.
First, swollen of the kidneys: the lesions progress of the two kidneys may be asymmetric and the sizes of them are different. When it development to the end stage, the two kidneys may squeeze the whole space of enterocoelia. And there are numerous cysts in the kidney which makes the shape of the kidney irregular, concave-convex and hard.
Second, pain of the kidney area: this is an important symptom of this disease. The common feelings are tension, dull pain or sharp pain of the back and waist. Sometimes, it is the abdominal pain. The pain may aggravate with the Physical Activity, long-time walking, long-time sitting and so on. And the feeling may be relived after staying in bed. In some cases, inter haemorrhage of the kidney and kidney stones are the reasons for the sudden severe pain.
Third, hematuria: there are about half patients with this disease who have the symptom of microscopic hematuria, and sometimes there may be gross hematuria.
These are caused by the rupture of the blood vessels on the cysts wall. During the severe haemorrhage, the blood clots usually cause the angina when they pass through the ureter. Hematuria is usually companied by leucocyturia and proteinuria. But the amount of the urine protein is little and usually it won’t exceed 1.0g/d. when there is kidney internal infection, there is obvious pyuria and there aggravated hematuria and backache companied by fever.
Forth, hypertension: before the rise of serum creatinine, there are about half of the patients having the symptom of hypertension. This is related to the cysts’ compression to the surrounding renal tissues, which can activate the renin-angiotension-aldosterone system. In recent years, Graham PC、Torre V and Chapman AB all have proven that patients of this disease have the increase of renin particles on the normal tissues, mesenchyme near the cysts and the epithelical cells of the cysts. In return, this has close relation to the enlargement of the cysts and hypertension. In other words, for the patients with hypertension, the cysts will grow faster and this will affect the prognosis directly.
Fifth, renal insufficiency: this disease will gradually develop to renal insufficiency. For some individual cases, renal failure may occur in the adolescence. Generally, there is only a small part of the decline of the renal function before 40 years old. But the progression to the renal failure of patients who have hypertension is shortened greatly.
So, pay attention to the symptoms of Polycystic Kidney Disease and adopt treatment as early as possible. If you have other doubt about the symptoms of this disease, send email to kidney-treatment@hotmail.com .

The Mechanism of the Formation of Proteinuria
Due to the filtration function of glomerulus and the resorption function of
renal tubules, there is little amount of the protein (referring to proteinuria
with small molecular weight) in the urine of healthy people (less than 150mg per
day). In the protein qualitative check, the result is negative. When the amount
of protein in the urine increases, it can be detected by the urine routine test
and it is called proteinuria. If the protein amount is more than 3.5g/24h, it is
called severe proteinuria.
How does proteinuria form? What is the mechanism of the formation of proteinuria?
Proteinuria is the classical symptom of chronic kidney disease. The reason of the formation of proteinuria is related to the barrier function of glomerulus. Glomerulus blood capillaries are constituted by three layers. From inside to outside, they are respectively endothelial cell layer, basement membrane layer and epithelial cell layer. On the three layers, there located numerous filtration pores with different diameter and there is negative charge, so the barrier function of glomerulus blood vessels can be divided into mechanical barrier function and charge barrier function.
First, the mechanical barrier function-filtration pores
The barrier function of glomerulus is constituted by three layers from inside to outside:
1, the inner layer is the endothelial cells of blood capillary. There are numerous pores with 50-100nm diameter in the endothelial cells which is called fenestration. Water, various kinds of solute and macromolecular proteins can pass the fenestrations freely, while these fenestrations can block the blood corpuscle, which play a barrier function of blood corpuscle.
2, the middle layer is the non-cell basement memebrane layer, which presents the microfiber net structure. The macromolecular substances in the plasma, such as protein, can ‘t pass this layer. So the basement membrane is the main barrier of gomerulus to prevent the macromolecular protein from being filtrated out.
3, the outer layer is the epithelial cell layer. There are podocyticprocesses on the epithelial cells. The criss-crossed podocyticprocesses form slits. And there is a layer of filtration slit membrane on the slits. On this membrane, there are pores with 4-14nm diameter which can block the protein filtrated by the former layers, so it is the last barrier of filtration. The three layers constitute the filtration barrier of the glomerulus. These pores of different diameters only allow the micro-molecular substances to pass. Generally speaking, substances with effective radius less than 1.8nm can all be filtrated. Substances with effective radius more than 3.6nm, such as plasma albumin (the molecular weight is about 69000), can’t be filtrated completely.
Second, charge barrier function-negative charge
There are various kinds of substances carrying negative charges, so the permeability of the filtration membrane also related to the charges that carried by different substances. These substances carrying negative charges will repel the plasma protein which also carrying negative charges, so this can prevent the protein from passing.
However, when various pathology damages act on the kidneys, they will lead to the focal microcirculatory disturbance of the kidneys, which will cause the ischemia and anemia of the renal tissues (renal functional units). Then, the capillary endothelial cells will be damaged because of the ischemia and anemia. Once the capillary endothelial cells are damaged, this will attract the inflammatory cell infiltration in the blood circulation and they will release pathogenic mediums (IL-1、TNF—α, etc). at this time, the pathology damage will cause the inflammatory reaction of the damaged kidneys.
As for the kidneys in the pathological state, there are a series of changes of glomerulus basement membrane: the filtration pores will enlarge or block; glomerulus basement membrane will breakdown; charge barrier will be damaged; the permeability will enhance; the glycoprotein carrying negative charges in the filtration membrane will decrease or disappear. All of these will lead to the amount of protein that is filtrated increase obviously. This is the mechanism of the formation of proteinuria.

New Hope of Patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease
Is there any new hope of patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)? As a
doctor of kidney disease, I know well the suffering and helpless of the patients
with kidney disease, especially the disease of Polycystic Kidney Disease. This
is a kind of genetic disease, so the patients have to face this disease since
they were born. They have no choice but to fight with it. With the development
of the medical technology, there are new hopes of patients with Polycystic
Kidney Disease.
In the past, western medicines, operations and traditional Chinese medicine are the choices for patients. Neither of them achieved good effects. Western medicines, including hormone and antibiotic, just can control the symptoms and have great side-effects; after the operations, the new cysts will grow up again and operation itself will bring impair to kidney; the effects of traditional Chinese for kidney disease is so slow that the effects can not catch the development of the illness condition.
Now, however, patients can find new choices and new hope. They are Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy, which are the characteristic therapies of Shijiazhuang Kidney Hospital, China. The former one is based on the Li Shizhen’s patrimonial prescriptions for the kidney disease, and we take advantage of the most advanced technology in the world to make the traditional Chinese medicine micro-processed, by which the active substance in the medicine can be activated and the effects of the medicine can be improved greatly. Then assisted by the unique penetrating liquid and osmosis device, the effective medicine can be penetrated into the kidney lesions directly by external application. That means that patients can treat this disease without surgeries, operations and oral-taking Chinese medicine.
The function of Immunotherapy is to repair and recover the normal function of the human organs. As for the disease of Polycystic Kidney Disease, Immunotherapy have the functions as the following four aspects: 1, repair the damaged renal intrinsic cells; 2, regenerate new renal intrinsic cells and replace the necrotic renal cells to work, by this, Immunotherapy can repair the damaged kidney function; 3, regulate the human inner secretion and restrain the enlargement of the cysts; 4, enhance the human immunity and enhance the resistance to the external stimulation factors.
These are the new hope of patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease. And large amount of clinical practice has proven their effects. If you have other doubt, send email kidney-treatment@hotmail.com or consult online.

What Can Happen if You don’t Treat Hematuria
As for the symptoms of hematuria, some patients feel very scared, while some
patients take it light. So many patients wonder what can happen if you don’t
treat hematuria. Many patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease know that
hematuria is one of the common symptoms of this disease. It is caused by the
burst or rupture of the cysts. It is very dangerous if the patients don’t treat
it in time.
If patients don’t adopt proper treatment for the disease of Polycystic Kidney Disease, the cysts will enlarge continuously. With the enlargement of the cysts, if there is some pressure or some impact of the kidney area, the blood capillary on the cysts wall will burst. Then there will be two kinds of cases. One is that the blood of the blood capillary come into come can’t come into the urine tract and the blood comes into the intraperitoneal causing peritonitis, which is very dangerous and even deadly.
The other case is that the blood come to the urine tract and is eliminated out with the urine. This case shows as hematuria. As hematuria is divided into gross hematuria and microscopic hematuria, so sometimes the hematuria is not visible by our naked eyes. However, both of the two types of hematuria should be treated in time. Otherwise, hematuria can cause the urinary tract infection. What’s more, if there is no proper nursing intervention, the infections may lead to retrograde infection, which will lead to the further damage to the kidney. And sometimes hematuria may cause the inner cysts infection, which is rather difficult to treat.
Therefore, I hope every patient can treat hematuria with correct attitude and take proper and timely treatment for it. This is responsible for your illness condition and yourself. If you have other doubt about hematuria, please send email to kidney-treatment@hotmail.com or consult online.

Why Will Polycystic Kidney Disease Patients Need Kidney Transplant
We all know that cysts in kidneys of Polycystic Kidney Disease patients keep
enlarging continuously due to the gene problem, which is the main reason of the
aggravation of this disease. Actually, Polycystic Kidney Disease patients
usually do not need Kidney Transplant if the disease can be controlled before
kidneys are totally damaged. However, there are still so many people accepting
this surgical operation. Why, besides the nature aggravation of this disease, it
there any other reasons?
Yes, there is another reason and frankly speaking, this reason is a very important factor that leads to Kidney Transplant. This factor is the patients themselves. It was greatly their attitude to this disease that leads to this consequence. Why I would say like this? We all know this disease can not be cured completely because it is caused by gene problem. For this reason, most of the patients give up treatment when they are in the early stage of this disease. They just wait for Dialysis or Kidney Transplant when their disease aggravates into Renal Failure Stage. Actually, if this disease can be controlled well in the early stage before kidney function decline when the cysts are still small, these cysts may have the possibility of stopping enlarging so that this disease will not progress further. As a result, patients do not need dialysis or transplant in the future. Even for some patients who have already in the end stage of this disease, if their kidneys are not totally damaged, there are still chance for them to avoid dialysis or Kidney Transplant. But if the disease can not be controlled before kidneys are totally damaged, Dialysis and Kidney Transplant are inevitable. There are also some patients who have found a treatment that may control their disease giving up such treatment just because they do not know this treatment too much and they want to wait for some proof that can show the effectiveness of such treatment. They even do not give them a chance to try though the treatment is natural and safe. Yes, they are right and their choice is also correct. When we are facing a strange treatment, all of us would like to wait for some proof and then we will have a try. We can wait for some evidence or proof patiently, but how about the disease. It is existing in our body and progressing all the time. It will not stop aggravating even we are on the waiting for the treatment. So if there is a chance, why we not have a try.
Of course, this does not mean accept new treatment blindly. We must have a deep research or a field trip on this treatment and we must be sure that the treatment will not do harm to our body, and then we can decide whether to accept such treatment or not. Only if it is effective, no matter it is inside or outside country, we should have a try. It is our hope for life.
